About Me

Hello! I'm Marina Morse, I'm from Massachusetts, and I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2022. I majored in Story and Concept for Games and Animation with a minor in Illustration Concept Art.

Since childhood, I've relished exploring the depths of my imagination, whether by inventing scary monsters to scare my friends, writing mini-novels, or devouring the latest Percy Jackson book in a single day. Above all, I have a passion for drawing. Although I never vandalized walls, I used to incorporate what I saw into my art. One time, I almost gave my mom a heart attack when my cute dinosaur sketches turned into bloody pages of an Allosaurus trying to win the "messiest eater" award. Fortunately, she realized that I drew inspiration from the dinosaur park we had visited and didn't summon an exorcist. We didn't go back to the park until I was much older, though.

My love for all things creative led me to aspire to be a writer for a long time. However, I became drawn to the art of bringing stories to life visually. While I could visualize everything a book described, my younger siblings and friends struggled. So, I started drawing things from the stories, such as characters, places, and animals, and their eyes would light up. Watching movies like How to Train Your Dragon and Guardians of Ga'Hoole filled me with such excitement that I felt like jumping off a curb would send me spiraling into the sky. I want to contribute to the creation of stories that inspire and ignite passion in others and possibly encourage someone else to become an artist. (By the way, I have a cat named Chickpea! She's incredible, and I adore her. I thought more people should know.)
